Your potted plant will thank you

The class offering is the result of a lunchtime conversation among a handful of MCW members. We saw a sculptural plant stand and immediately fell in love with. Viv N wrote up a plan, developed a prototype and is now offering a class to help you make your own. Participants will use sapele or cherry and the project will involve using acrylic templates and a host of machines in the shop—band saw, table saw, router and Festool domino for joinery.

The class will also include significant instruction and practice in applying finishes -- shellac, oil, water based poly and hard wax -- providing a skill that will be useful in future woodworking projects.
